I have a Dell Inspirion 537 with Windows 7 pro. I have a Lexmark X1185 All-in-one that has been working fine until I tried to connect it to this system. I deleted the drivers and unplugged the printer installed the Windows Vista Drivers that are supposed to work with Windows 7 according to Lexmark.

However troubleshooting says that the driver is not installed. It says it is unable to install the driver once the software tells you to plug in the USB cable and turn it on. Lexmark insists this is the proper driver and is jusdt not compatible with this computer. Any possible solutions other than tossing the printer?
